Kim-Vy Tran

Kim-Vy Tran’s research focuses on understanding how galaxies form and evolve as a function of environment. She combines imaging from space-based facilities such as the Spitzer Space Telescope and Hubble Space Telescope with observations from ground-based facilities such as Magellan and the Very Large Telescope (both in Chile) to study galaxies over a wide range in redshift. Such observations are essential for separating the nature versus nurture aspect of galaxy evolution.
